Luxury lodge accommodation in New Zealand

NEW ZEALAND Lodges– a small luxury hotel, boutique accommodation, a country inn, a country house hotel, luxury guest house or what exactly…….!

For those who have not stayed in a New Zealand lodge before, this is a unique experience without parallel elsewhere in the world.

Some regard a New Zealand lodge as being similar to a small luxury hotel, others to a boutique hotel. This is not really accurate as they offer you more than such establishments.

In America, our lodges could be considered as intimate Country Inns or Luxury Guest Houses but this does not reflect the experience awaiting you either! In Britain they might be regarded as small Country House Hotels but this does not really do justice to the NZ lodge experience.

The key difference really lies in the all inclusive tariff with pre-dinner drinks and canapés, fine dining, luxury accommodation and full breakfast, as well as a the high level of personal service and hosting. This combined with the interaction with other lodge guests makes for a uniquely enjoyable New Zealand experience.

New Zealand lodges range from 4 -20 bedrooms and offer the finest lodging and luxury accommodation with top cuisine in unique surroundings - often in the heart of the pristine New Zealand countryside.

Each lodge offers a unique experience with individual value-added features such as personal guiding and on-site or local recreational activities.

Guests staying in a New Zealand lodge providing luxury accommodation, generally meet with their hosts and other guests for pre-dinner drinks. This is known as Happy Hour and often leads to a convivial evening with communal dining shared with other lodge guests. Naturally, private dining is also available on request.

New Zealand lodges are small and intimate and owned by individuals just as are, mainly, Country Inns, Luxury Guest Houses and small Country House Hotels. There are less than 30 members of the NZ Lodge Association. All are Qualmark 5-star guest and hosted which means they are excellent and amongst the best in New Zealand.

Some members of the New Zealand Lodge Association also belong to one or more of the following prestigious organisations: Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Relais & Chateau, Select Hotels & Resorts International, Charming Hotels or other internationally respected associations and marketing groups.

To stay at a New Zealand lodge providing luxury accommodation is an experience to be remembered and a highlight of an NZ holiday.
